P3 Africa to Host a Side Event "Investing In the Next Generation of African Population Scientists" at the 9th African Population Conference (APC)
The Union for African Population Studies (UAPS) is set to host its 9th African Population Conference (APC) this year from 20th to 24th May 2024 in Lilongwe Malawi with the theme: “Road to 2030: Leveraging Africa’s human capital to achieve transformation in a world of uncertainty.” The side event brings together five research and development organizations including the AIR, that are operationalizing Early Career Research (ECR) programs to discuss how ECRs can strengthen their capacity to build their networks, collaborate with junior and senior colleagues, navigate the funding application landscape, present at conferences, and publish in high impact peer-reviewed journals, including the African Population Studies journal, among other key issues.
